Number of Legacy Letters

Add the recipient and at least one verification contact for each letter. You can add up to five verification contacts per letter.

Write today. Leave your words for the people who matter most.

Some words deserve to remain long after the moment in which they were written.

The EverSealed Legacy Letter Service allows you to write private handwritten letters for the people you love, seal them yourself and place them in our care for long-term preservation.

Your letters remain sealed, private and protected until the time comes for them to be released to the people you chose, following EverSealed's verification process.

Choose Your Legacy Letter Option

Choose how many separate Legacy Letters you would like to preserve: 1, 2, 4 or 6 letters.

Each letter may be intended for a different person — for example a partner, child, grandchild, family member or someone else who matters to you.

Your recipients do not need to know that you have prepared a letter for them. You may tell them if you wish, or keep it completely private.

Everything You Need Is Included

Once your order is placed, EverSealed sends you a complete preparation package based on the number of letters you selected.

  • Premium 100% cotton archival writing paper, selected for long-term preservation
  • Writing pen
  • Individual Legacy envelopes
  • Tamper-evident security seals
  • Clear preparation instructions
  • Secure outer return packaging
  • Prepaid return label — no return stamp or postage needs to be purchased
  • Your EverSealed order and archive reference
  • Ongoing secure preservation
  • Future verification and release administration
  • Secure tracked delivery when the required release conditions have been verified

How It Works

1. Choose 1, 2, 4 or 6 letters

Select the number of individual messages you would like to preserve.

2. Provide Your Recipient Details

For each letter, you will provide the recipient's full name, postal address, postcode, and either an email address or a telephone number.

These details form part of your EverSealed record and can be updated later if circumstances change.

3. Add Your Verification Contacts

For each letter, you must nominate at least one verification contact and may provide up to five. Each contact needs a full name and either an email address or a telephone number.

These trusted contacts may assist EverSealed with the future verification process. Letters are never released simply because somebody contacts us.

4. Write Your Letters

Write privately and in your own time.

You may leave memories, reassurance, advice, family stories, thoughts for the future, or simply words you want someone important to have one day.

EverSealed never needs to know what you have written.

5. Write the Recipient's Name on Each Envelope

Please clearly write the recipient's full name and your EverSealed order number on the outside of each Legacy envelope before returning it.

This is particularly important when you prepare several letters, so each sealed envelope can be correctly matched with the recipient details stored in your EverSealed record.

You do not need to write the recipient's postal address on the sealed envelope. Addresses may change over time, so future delivery will use the most up-to-date recipient information held on your record.

6. Seal and Return Your Letters

Seal each Legacy envelope using the supplied tamper-evident security seal.

Place all of your completed letters — whether one, two, four or six — into the supplied outer return package.

Attach the prepaid return label and send the package back to EverSealed.

7. We Register and Preserve Them

When your package arrives, we register your sealed letters under your EverSealed archive reference and match each one to its intended recipient.

Your letters are then placed into protected long-term archival storage.

They remain sealed and unread. EverSealed does not open customer Legacy Letters.

8. Details Can Be Updated

If a recipient moves, changes their phone number or email address, or if you need to change a verification contact, please let us know.

Always include your EverSealed order/reference number when contacting us.

9. Replace Your Letter If Your Words Change

Life changes, and sometimes the message you want to leave changes too.

You may request the return or replacement of a stored Legacy Letter at any time.

Under our current policy, a £9.99 handling and secure shipping fee applies. Contact EverSealed Support with your reference number and we will guide you through the return or replacement process.

Your preservation subscription remains active unless you separately request cancellation.

10. Future Verification and Delivery

Legacy Letters are not released automatically.

When EverSealed receives information that the release process may need to begin, we carry out the required verification first.

Once verification has been successfully completed, each letter is managed according to its own recipient record and prepared for secure tracked delivery.

If you have several letters, an address issue involving one recipient does not need to prevent another correctly verified letter from being delivered.

Monthly Preservation Subscription

The Legacy Letter Service operates through an ongoing monthly subscription.

Your subscription begins when your order is accepted and the first subscription payment is processed.

There is no separate starter-kit charge. The monthly price shown for your selected 1, 2, 4 or 6 Letter option includes your initial preparation package and your ongoing EverSealed preservation service.

You pay the same recurring monthly amount from the first payment onwards unless your subscription is later changed or cancelled in accordance with the applicable terms.

Small Photographs & Keepsakes

You may include small, flat photographs or paper-based keepsakes that fit safely inside your supplied Legacy envelope.

Please do not include cash, jewellery, precious metals, financial instruments, original wills or legal documents, illegal materials or other prohibited items.

If Writing Your Letter Feels Difficult

Writing something this personal can sometimes bring memories, grief, uncertainty or difficult emotions to the surface.

Optional independent private counselling is available with John Bernath, MSc, MBACP, Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor.

You do not have to discuss your Legacy Letter. Sessions may also be used to talk privately about grief, loss, relationships, life changes or another personal matter.

Private counselling is optional and completely separate from your EverSealed Legacy service.
