What is a Legacy Letter?

A Legacy Letter is a physical handwritten message preserved for future delivery after your death has been formally verified through your chosen verification contacts and the required confirmation process.

This is not a digital message platform and not an automatic release system. EverSealed stores real sealed letters in protected physical archive conditions and releases them only when the defined release condition has been verified.

Legacy Letters are created for moments that matter most: a final message to a partner, words for a child, a private note to family, or a carefully preserved part of your personal legacy.

How It Works

1. Choose your kit

Select the Legacy Letters format that best fits your intention, from a single-letter option to a multi-letter family archive solution.

2. Write and seal

Your kit includes the materials needed to prepare your message. Write your letter by hand, place it inside the envelope, seal it, and sign across the security sticker so any tampering would be visible.

3. Return it to EverSealed

Once sealed, your letter is returned to EverSealed and archived under its unique order reference number for future management, storage, updates, and verification handling.

4. We preserve it

Your letter remains sealed, unread, and securely stored in protected fire-resistant archive conditions until the release process is formally triggered and verified.

Verification Contacts

Each Legacy Letter requires verification contacts. You must assign at least one verification contact, and you may assign up to five.

These trusted contacts help confirm your passing when the time comes. Their role is to protect your letter from accidental, unauthorized, or premature release.

EverSealed releases Legacy Letters only after the release condition has been verified. Without verification, the letter remains sealed and in secure archive storage.

Secure Storage Subscription

Why a subscription is required

Legacy Letters are preserved through an ongoing storage subscription. This supports protected long-term storage, archive maintenance, verification readiness, and future delivery handling.

If payment stops

If a subscription becomes inactive, EverSealed first attempts to contact the customer directly. If contact cannot be established, the verification process may begin through the listed verification contacts in order to protect the intended delivery process.

Secure Storage & Confidential Handling

Every Legacy Letter is stored in a fire-resistant archive environment and catalogued under its order reference number for secure long-term preservation.

Letters remain sealed at all times. EverSealed does not open or read customer letters.

The signed tamper-evident seal provides visible proof that the message has remained private and untouched until it reaches the rightful recipient.

When and How Delivery Happens

Every Legacy Letter is stored in a protected archival environment and never opened by EverSealed. Each envelope remains sealed exactly as prepared by the sender until verified release conditions are met.

Keeping Recipient Details Up to Date

If the recipient’s address, email address, or phone number changes in the future, please notify EverSealed as soon as possible.

When contacting support about any update, always include your order number. Your order number functions as your permanent archive reference and helps us identify the correct stored letter securely.

EverSealed offers a letter replacement service for £9.99. If you wish to update your stored message, we can arrange a replacement process so your archive reflects your most current intentions.
