This policy applies specifically to Private Counselling Sessions booked with John Bernath through EverSealed.
Counselling sessions are provided independently by John Bernath. EverSealed facilitates the online booking and payment process.
Appointment Length and Price
Each Private Counselling Session is a 50-minute online appointment.
The price is £60 per session.
The booking system may reserve a 60-minute calendar slot to allow appropriate time between appointments. The counselling session itself is 50 minutes.
Rescheduling Your Appointment
If you need to change your appointment, you may reschedule it up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
One rescheduling request is permitted without an additional booking charge.
Where available, you may use the rescheduling link contained in your booking confirmation email to choose a new appointment time.
Requests made less than 24 hours before the appointment are not automatically eligible for rescheduling. However, exceptional circumstances may be considered at the discretion of the independent practitioner.
Cancelling More Than 24 Hours Before Your Appointment
If you cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, you may choose either:
- one rescheduled appointment at no additional booking charge; or
- a refund of the amount paid, subject to any applicable statutory rights and payment processing requirements.
Where the booking system provides a cancellation link, please use the link in your confirmation email or contact EverSealed support.
Cancelling Within 24 Hours
Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time are normally non-refundable because the reserved appointment time may no longer be available to another client.
Where exceptional circumstances prevent attendance, a one-time rescheduling request may be considered at the discretion of the independent practitioner.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply under UK consumer law.
Missed Appointments and No-Shows
If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and have not cancelled or rescheduled it in advance, the appointment will normally be treated as a completed booking for administrative purposes and no refund will normally be provided.
If exceptional circumstances prevented you from attending, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Any alternative arrangement will be considered on an individual basis.
If John Bernath Needs to Cancel
If John Bernath is unable to provide your scheduled session, you will be offered a choice of:
- a new appointment at no additional cost; or
- a full refund of the amount paid for the affected session.
You will not be charged any additional booking fee because the practitioner needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Late Arrival
If you join your appointment late, the session will normally still finish at the originally scheduled finishing time because another appointment may follow.
A late arrival does not normally entitle the customer to an extension of the session or a partial refund.
UK Statutory Cancellation Rights
Customers booking services online may have statutory cancellation rights under UK consumer law, including a cancellation period that may apply after entering into an online service contract.
These statutory rights operate separately from EverSealed's 24-hour appointment cancellation and rescheduling arrangements and are not restricted by this policy.
If you book an appointment that is scheduled to take place during any applicable statutory cancellation period, you may be asked to confirm that you want the service to begin before that cancellation period has expired.
Where a service has already begun at your express request, the amount refundable following a statutory cancellation may depend on the service already provided and the applicable legal requirements.
Once a service has been fully performed, statutory cancellation rights may be affected where the legally required consent and acknowledgement have been provided.

Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method where possible.
The time taken for a refund to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.
Independent Counselling Service
Private Counselling Sessions are provided independently by John Bernath and are separate from EverSealed's Time Capsule, Legacy Letter, storage, verification and delivery services.
Cancelling or rescheduling a counselling appointment does not change or cancel any separate EverSealed letter or storage order.
